Exciting Read

Ouside In was the second book in the series. Outside In took place in the inside of the space craft where a society knows little about anything Outside, like space or planets. They have been sheltered from anything but their own soceity. But in this book Trella has just won the fight between the pop cops and the uppers. Now when she thought the worst was behind her she finds the committee wasn't the best way to go. She distances herself from leading, afraid of disappointing so many people. But when incidents keep occuring and lives are lost she is forced to once again step up and beomce the Queen of the Pipes. In this anticipated sequel to Inside Out we uncover more about Trellas mysterious society and get a glimspe of how they feel when their whole world is turn upside down. The question now is "Are you ready to know the truth about Outside?"

I thought Mrs. Synder did an excellent job on creating a plot that flowed smoothly, adding parts to give dramatic relief but at the same time keeping it interesting. The character development was quite impressive, introducing us to characters who we didn't know and showing the audience exactly who they were yet keeping some of thier secrets locked deep in a safe. We were also shown to the old characters, she expanded on them and allowed us to see another side that we hadn't seen before. Trella was shown in a different light and we were shown some of her weakness that we hadn't got to see much in the first book. Riley was also developed more and we were able to decipher more about what he was thinking and what made him who he was.

The ending was very well tied up, we were left with very few questions and it gave the reader a sense of closure to this book, satifying in a way.

The only thing I found negative about this book was how so much information was there, I found myself a little confused at times and would have to go back a few pages and re-read a part but after going back I was able to move forward and enjoy more about the story.

Overall I gave this book 4 1/2 stars and really recommend anyone to read it who is looking for a sci-fy book that is for a young person. This book is for all of you who have ever imagined yourself stuck on a space ship and wondering what it would be like, and if that's you well get on board and be prepared for the ride of your lifetime.

5 Stars for "Iron Queen"

Hmm...how to summon words to describe this story. It definately had me on the tip of my toes, never ceasing to suprise me. Kagawa did a fantastic job of deeping the main characters personaliteis, bringing out characteristics that have been lying dormant in them. I got to see a side of Ash never seen before, his soft side. We get an insight into how much he loves Meghan and what he would do to keep her safe and happy. And then Puck who also loves Meghan but is only conisered her best friend, who we see as comical and vibrant in the first two books but in "Iron Queen" we are able to see a side of Puck that is dark. He's jealous of course but he expresses his loss in sadness, still being comical but behind those smart remarks is pain. And furthermore we are introduced to more characters who liven this serious but fun read and we are swepted into a world of War, where iron is striving to take over the Nevernever and without Meghans aid there might not be a nevernever. This book was beautifully crafted, the description was edgy and vibrant and the plot twisted down paths that weren't expected. The ending was shocking, I never saw it coming and yet we are introduced into Ash's point of view, setting up the next book "The Iron Knight"

Meghan is faced with a battle whom only she can fight, she is forced into the Iron Realm where she must find and destroy the false Iron king. In through this journey she is accompied by Ash and Puck and a certain curious cat. You are thrusted into a coaster of turns and twists and in the end you are left wondering "what's going to happen next" In this third installment of the series you are left to discover the power of healing and love. I give this book 5 stars, it sure won my heart and soul!

Synder's Done it Again!!

Trella is considered to be a Scrub, one of the many who do the dirty work for the community which happens to be a spaceship in outerspace! She has always worked cleaning the air ducts and never questioned their ways. The uppers were the priviledge the ones who had a much better life. But soon Trella discovers that she could be the one to change the whole system, she soon becomes the one to start the revolution!

This book to me was slow for the first 90 pages but it was only because Synder had to cover so much; get the reader the basic information so that she could continue the story. The characters were surreal, it was like you could pin point them out and say "Hey that could be my friend..." The plot was created to were there was action, suspense and even a little romance. This was Synder's first young adult book and I was glad I picked it up and gave it a chance. The words flowed smoothly and the end left you on a cliff hanger. What more could a reader ask for?

I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a book that creates ideas of another possiblitly. Giving both the reader and the writer a journey through self-discovery and awe. I give this book 5 stars! Can't wait to get my hands on Outside In which will be coming out next year! Maria Synder has done it again! She created a novel that lives outside her most adored story "The Study Series".

Stunning and Beautiful

The shack had me completly in awe, I have never seen such a creative approach to how God helps his people. In this book a man's daughter is kidnapped and killed and he turns his eyes from God and go into a deep hole, fighting to stay away from the pain. The loss of his daughter is great and the worst part is he blames himelf. Years later he finds a letter from God asking him to go to The Shack where his daughter was murdered, he at first thinks it's nonsense; a cruel joke. But then he begins to question himself. He soon travels to the Shack where he meet's God, in different forms and there he begins the long journey of accepting his daughters death and moving on. Believing God had his reason for taking her at such a young age.

I found this book very enjoyable and found a box of kleenex was necessary, there's just nothing sweeter then seeing the process of healing through words. The author did a fantastic job on creating scenes that were both believeable and yet creative and outside of this world. I would recommend this to anyone who has lost their child or just looking for a book about how God works his magic! I definately gives this book 5 Stars! It's worth every minute of time it took for me to read it and can't wait to share it with so many others.

Such a young author, such a great book!

I won this book in a contest and was excited to see what such a young author could muster up, and she didn't disappoint.

The storyline which twists down rugged roads was exciting and quicked paced. I was able to read this book in a day, and the only thing that disappointed me was that it was so short, this book is for anyone who is looking for a book that captures the beauty of a person't soul and deciphers a story that could very much be true.

Swanilde is faced with many challenges, learing of her family's deepest secret doesn't help. Swanilde finds herself in egypt where she meets a family who takes her in as there own and it is there that she finds the acceptance she so desires. But when things get twisted and secrets are revealed, Swailde finds herself on the run again and in fear of what's to come.

There is one thing for sure about this author, she's talented and I can't wait to see what she's going to come up with in the future and it's going to be bright, going to the top that girl is.

An Amazing Story....

This book absolutely had me on the tips of my toes. It was beautiful writing to begin with and by the time I got to the last page I was completly satisfied, all questions were answered and all lose ends tied! And the beautiful story that took place at Pendrell, an elite boarding school where Yara encounters the most drop dead gorgeous guy named Brent. and to top matters off Yara is hoarding a power so big by the time the story comes to conclude you'll be in awe. I loved the romance, the humor and especially the mystery behind the curse that lurks this all hollow's school. Be prepared guys for a treat of a lifetime, buckle up, sit back and prepare yourself a cup of coffee because there's one thing certain, you'll be reading this book into the late hours of the night.

And one things for sure Lani Woodland is an author you should be on the look for because she has talent and I can't wait to see what other stories she harbors! I give this 5 Laces!!

A MUST READ!!!!

This is one book I totally picked up by pure curiousity, I saw it sitting in Barnes and Noble and instantly fell in love with it. Dead Beautiful was both beautiful and imaginative, I was sucked in from the beautifully crafted cover, Woon did a fantastic job at creating characters who were relateable and who seemed more real then you and me. I fell in love with the state of  Maine's scenery and I instantly wanted to register for the books  boarding school "Gottfried Academy". This book has a sense of mysteriousness and eerieness. There are parts that I myself wouldn't be caught dead in, but it goes on to show you how strong the protagonist(Renee Winters) is; to be able to put complete trust in a guy she just met and go into a dark and creepy tunnel; it takes guts! Dante Berlin is one of the most gorgeous guys at this academy but he also keeps to himself and is the only student who doesn't live on campus. But why is that? Why doesn't he have any friends? What secret is he keeping? And is it dangerous? This book has an alluring personality and I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for a book that ties mystery and the paranormal. The only part I'd say I felt was wrong was the end, it ended so quickly and even though there is a sequel in the works, you still can't help but feel upset over the matter!

5 Laces for being a book that kept me up at all hours of the night and away from my college work!

Creepy but AMAZING!!

Shadow Hills was an Amazing book, I was itching to get my hands on this book for some time now and let me tell you this book did not disappoint.

It starts off with a girl named Persephone(Nickname Phe) who travels to a boarding school in Shadow Hills after her sister's death. Phe comes to meet various characters who drag her deep into Shadow Hill's deepest roots and when she meets a mysterious and I must say HOT guy named Zac she soon finds herself discovering not only herself but the secrets that Shadow Hill's holds. Phe soon finds that she too holds a part in the magic these residents of Shadow Hill's pocess, the only thing that will save them is Light.

This book ties a sense of dark and light together that takes the reader on a journey they'll never forget. This book adds a bit of paranomalcy and love. I give this book 5 stars, I couldn't put this book down and long after I finished it I found myself connected to the characters and thinking about them long into the night.  It was creepy and mysterious, I absolutely loved how the writing flowed across the page and how things you thought weren't possible became a reality. I recommend this book to any teen who is looking for a good read and thrill!! I give this 5 Laces for the abundance of inspiration and comfort!!

It's Back!!!!

If you have read this series you would have to agree that the series was getting a little shady there. I about gave up on the series but Burned turned it all around. Stevie Rae is tested to her limits and Stark the once shy and immature boy has finally blossomed into a true and honorable man. This book takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, not once do you find yourself wanting to put down the book and never revisit it again. This book is a fantastic and fun read, though it might not be for every reader, there's just some things that can't be described in a review, if I could conjure up a word that describes this book, well it just wouldn't be known to the dictionary, because it doesn't exist. For anyone who has just about given up on the series, reign yourselves back in, strap yourself down to you seat and be prepared for the most thrilling ride of your lifetime!

I Give this book 4 and a Half Laces for turning around and creating a very great read!

A book that was Anticipated by Most....

Okay, this book was AMAZING! I never thought I would finish it so quickly, the book pulled me in every direction and I swear I was about to break! Be warned though that the characters are a little different in this book but only because you are able to see another side of them. There were times where I cried for the torment some of the characters felt and there was a time where I wanted to throw the book against the wall and curse the character who caused me so much anger. But in all that's how you want to react to a book right? Don't you want to feel all the emotions thicken and swirl around you, causing you to put the book down and come back to it a couple hours later? I love a good book that causes me to feel. This was definately worth all five stars.

Rose is on yet another mission in her life. Her love Demetrie is still a strigoi and she's going to do anything possible to get her true love back even if it's illegal. This heart pounding contiuation of Rose's story takes you through journey's that were unexpected and almost hard to believe. She has finally graduated and is now on her way to the royal court where she must await her futre assignment, whatever that may be. There are allies in the depths and enemies within the court but can Rose determine who those are? When things finally look like they might work out something tragic happens, the conclusion to this book was heartpounding and heartwretching and leaves you on a cliffhanger that will have you screaming for "The Last Sacrifice". Two thumbs up! An Amazing book that will have you screaming for more.

I give this 5 Laces for the plot line and Amazing twists!!

Uh....Can Someone turn on the Lights?

This book was a serious eye opener for me. I've never read a book that quite made me feel like this one. Could you imagine getting betrayed by your own parents and be sent to be "unwound"? In other words, they take apart every piece of your body and sell it away to someone who might need it, whether it be if someone broke their arm or if someone wanted to change thier eyes! Scary to think of isn't it?

Unwind starts out introducing three characters who are about to be sent to be uwound. Connor, the kid who has fire in his heart, Risa the one who isn't wanted anymore and Lev, the one who wants to be unwound. Yep, you heard me, he's known his whole life he was going to be unwound and he's doing it as a sacrifice to God. I don't know about you but that's creepy. On the eve of when Connor is going to be sent away he sneaks out to escape his soon to be unwinding. He soon embarks on a journey that gets Risa's and Lev's lifes intertwined with his. They end up at camp where they will do anything to survive. But will that be enough to save them from unwinding? Or will they get captured and soon face what they knew was coming all along?

This book had me unwinding at the bit and there is one scene I will never forget. Though in the end I know that reading this book has taught me about society and what could happen if we don't watch it closely.

I give this book 4 and a Half Laces on the count of unerving me!!

Will You be my Angel?

What must I say about this book...I picked this book up for sheer curiosity, I'm very much into angels (If you don't know I'm writing a book about them) and I had heard nothing about this book SO I picked it up at my local library and set to devouring the entire book in a two day period.

This book changed my view on angels. It gave me a new perspective on how a guardian angel feels and what it takes to be one. Freya has always been able to see angels but everyone around her tried to convience her they weren't real so one day after she was brought back home from the pysic ward she had given up on angels. That is until a dark looming feathered creature lurks in Freya's shadows. Soon Freya is pushed to the limits to discover who she really is and deal with what has become of her life and family. Stephanie a firm believer in angels soon brings Freya from her depth's to realize yes guardian angels exists.

This book holds a dark and twisted angel and one that shone as bright as the sun, can they both come togehter and create something that is as rare as the guradian angels themselves?

I give 4 Laces!!

A Love Unbound....

This is a book about a young teen couple Morgan and Cam who are completly in love with each other and have been ever since they were little. One day Cam's cousin Pip comes and their whole world turns upside down. Cam start's acting completly abnormal until one day a fortune cookie that Cam gives Morgan reveals that Cam needs help...Cam is a fairy and now the faires want Cam back, the journey soon starts when Morgan fights to keep Cam; her true love. This kept me interested throughtout the entire book, and the words flowed perfectly and the only flaw that I encountered was the length, by the end of the story I was grasping for more!

This book was one of the first books that made me cry...it's an amazing book and suitable for any young girl who is looking for thier true love. 5 Laces!!

An Eye Opener for All....

This book truly opened my eyes to the world of addiction. Alice the main character is addicted to drugs and no matter how hard she trys to quit, the more she is drawn to the drugs. She struggles to get her life back to normal, make things go back to the way they used to be before she met her enemy; drugs. I believe that teens and young adults should read this book. Maybe, just maybe, it might save someones life. (literally) The author did a beautiful job illistrating the characters motives and actions, not once did I feel confused and lost, this book kept me interested and never once did I want to put this down. I urge those who are willing to open their eyes to addiction read this and share with those who need more than you! I give this book 4 Laces!!

A Reality that Hit home for Teens and Cutting....

Willow is a touching story about a girl who lost both her parents in a car accident while she was driving. The guilt of causing her parents deaths hangs over Willow heavily and the only way she sees in coping in their deaths is by cutting. To make matters worse she goes and lives with her older brother who has just started a family. She feels responsible for taking away their parents from him and they each drift away from each other. Willow has a part time job at their library and gives all her money to her brother to pay for her stay...She keeps reliving the accident over and over, the rain falling heavily, her just having a permit; a new driver, her parents had had too much to drink so she took the responsibilty of driving them home. She soon falls into a black hole....until she meets this guy named Guy. Guy pulls her from the depths of darkness to show her that she wasn't to be blamed that she needs to move on and accept what happened and get her life back. That there's more to life then cutting and also better ways to relieve that pain; like crying.

This book was very well written and expresses great character emotion that will make any girl cry.

Her Santuary, 5 out of 5 Laces!

Since it is summer and I am out of college for the time being, I have been able to read some books that have been collecting dust on my bookshelves. Though I had about 15 books waiting patiently for me I decided to go for my newest book I received, “Her Sanctuary”. I had heard about this book on Goodreads and when I got to know the author more I got really curious. I had rushed to Barnes and Noble to buy it but was sadly disappointed to find that it was not stocked on the shelves. I had to order it and have it shipped to my house. The day that it arrived was a very happy day for me. I wasn’t at the time able to read it but soon enough I cleared my schedule and finally read it and boy! Was it good! Though I must warn that this book is not for a young audience or anyone who blushes at the sight of just one kiss. This book took the reader on a journey of courage and true love. I loved the storyline of this book and the characters were so believable. Though these two characters that have had a shady love life fall in love immediately, Glisson makes it believable and allows the reader to actually understand why the two have fallen in love. Have you ever believed in True Love? Maybe now’s the time to start believing because by the time you read the last page you’ll be sure to be convinced, I know I was. I recommend this book to anyone who is romantic and loves to read a good book! If I had to note any drawbacks I would say that there just wasn’t enough! When I had finally finished reading the book I was wanting more. I give this book 5 out of 5 Laces!!

Angel Star! A must Read

Angel Star has begun to warm the hearts of many lives. The book takes the reader on a journey of self discovery and allows them to open their eyes to the guardian angels around them. Rivalry is one of the key elements in this book. The two guy characters find themselves heads over heels for a girl named Teagan. But these two guys aren’t your average guy; no they are much more than that. I fell in love with these characters because they gave me a sense of understanding. I have always had trouble being able to grasp the personality of a certain character but this book suppressed even my greatest hope. I was able to decipher distinct personality traits from each character and if you were to give me one trait, I could pin it to the character it fit into. This is a must read to all of you who are in desperate need of a good book. Murgia has perfected the art of transitioning from one scene to the next; I give her 6 out of 5 stars for this book! He what?!

Okay, I don't know how many of you out there have heard of Criss Angel, but if you have then you know of the outrageous tricks he can pull off! though I must admit that I haven't watched him in quite some time, I thought to show you a video of some of the things he can do.

This video is of him taking objects out of a painting and then putting them back in. I don't know about you but I'm quite curious to know how he pulls something like that off! Isn't it outrageous to be able to pull a stunt like that off? Wish I could fool my friends like that.

So what I'm trying to show you is that there are some things that just can't be explained. We (the audience) must sit back and enjoy the show. So, grab a chair, pop some popcorn and be ready to be Amazed!

The Law Says....

All right, today's most outrageous thing is this sign. Can you believe it? I mean for those of us who are told constantly to read the signs and pay attention, what are we to make of this?

First things first, I must admit as a reader I find this offensive. Reading is something that I am quite fond of and here the law says I cannot read this! It's Outrageous! A person should never be denied a chance at reading something. Could you deny a child of a useful resource? Never!

Second of all it's a contridiction in it's self. You must read a sign in order to understand what you can and cannot do. Am I right? Of course I am. You simply cannot punish a person for attempting to learn the laws and obey them. What is our world coming to?

Also you must look at the penalty of reading the sign. What would the penatly be? Could they really charge you with anything? Of course not, to charge a person you must have evidence and that is where the cops will lack a certain substance. *shakes head*

So, as yoy can see there is some pretty outrageous things out there and just think, this is only the beginning. I will be digging deeper and deeper. Digging into the depths of soceity to find the most juiciest and most outrageous things out there!

Are you ready?

Introduction

This is my first blog ever! To be honest I never thought I’d blog, but here I am writing my first post. It took me awhile to find what I really wanted to blog about, I mean come on, there’s a ton of stuff out there to dissect and write about but I finally settled on one thing. What is it you say? I am going to post things that I have found outrageous, whether it be a book, or some article I read. I will be discussing what I thought of it. Sounds interesting huh? Well I must be going now, have to find something for my next post. I will be posting every Wednesday, so check back every week! Oh and I might sneak in a post here and there!
