Hey Guys!
So I thought I’d let you know I most likely won’t be
posting as frequent as I usually do, I’m still going to try and read and post
some reviews a week but with college life you never know when you’ll have the
time. Anyways I thank you in advance for being patient with me, I’m a junior in
college and the classes are getting really intense now so I just need to find
my balance before things can smooth out.
So how are you guys adjusting with going back to school?
Are you having the same time issue as me?
Anyways
here’s what I have to read this week, fingers crossed I finish them J
Vigilance. The mission to safeguard Nikki Youngblood
depends on the fragile alliance of two half-angel, half-human guardians, both
struggling with intense feelings for the girl who has been assigned to their
care. Mace, steadfast and deeply in love, wants to protect Nikki at all costs,
while Raven's loyalty to Nikki finds him advocating for her independence and
battling his own darker inclinations. At the same time, Nikki finds it harder
and harder to choose between the two heavenly beings she may never have.
Dangers intensify, and tensions between Mace and Raven flare as the purpose of
their mission becomes clear. Can their defenses hold up to master manipulator
Damon Vessler and the powerful secret he holds regarding Nikki's heritage? Can
anyone protect Nikki from her true purpose and destiny?
It's been several generations since a genetic experiment
gone wrong caused the Reduction, decimating humanity and giving rise to a
Luddite nobility who outlawed most technology.
Elliot North has always known her place in this world.
Four years ago Elliot refused to run away with her childhood sweetheart, the
servant Kai, choosing duty to her family's estate over love. Since then the
world has changed: a new class of Post-Reductionists is jumpstarting the wheel
of progress, and Elliot's estate is foundering, forcing her to rent land to the
mysterious Cloud Fleet, a group of shipbuilders that includes renowned explorer
Captain Malakai Wentforth--an almost unrecognizable Kai. And while Elliot
wonders if this could be their second chance, Kai seems determined to show
Elliot exactly what she gave up when she let him go.
But Elliot soon discovers her old friend carries a
secret--one that could change their society . . . or bring it to its knees. And
again, she's faced with a choice: cling to what she's been raised to believe,
or cast her lot with the only boy she's ever loved, even if she's lost him
forever.
Inspired by Jane Austen's "Persuasion",
"For Darkness Shows the Stars" is a breathtaking romance about
opening your mind to the future and your heart to the one person you know can
break it.
Well
thanks guys again for understanding and have a wonderful Labor day! Be Safe!
Have a great day,
Lacey
I'm in the same sort of situation and I'm trying to get ahead on my reading so school doesn't have too much of an impact on how often I post when I go back.
ReplyDeleteThe only book I have to read this week is Pure by Julianna Baggott but I'm hoping to get more.
Good Luck with your studies, blogging and reading!

You're not alone! I used to post almost every day. Then I started college. Since it's my first year, I didn't really know what to expect but I'm awful at time management and I'm just trying to get into the swing of things. I've hardly posted the past two weeks! I do have a lot of free time on my hands since my classes are pretty basic, I just have to learn to manage my time better. I hope to get my rear back in gear this week or the next :P
ReplyDeleteGood luck with school and blogging!
All the best ♥
