Beautiful....

One Word: Beautiful.

I didn't think I could like this book even more than Aurelia, but I am honored to say that it is possible. I loved it and felt more connected to the characters. A layer of Aurelia was uncovered, I got to see a side of her that I had never seen before, her most inner thoughts were so breath-taking and honest, there was so much realism in this imaginative fantasy world. I Loved, Loved, Loved this book and keeping my fingers crossed for another?!

Summary:

Aurelia is on a journey of both physical and mental challenge. Her one and true friend Robert is there to help her along the way. But soon trouble stirs, the assaisns are tracking their every move and they have to discover a path to keep them both safe.

Along the way she meets someone from her past that puts her on the emotinal edge and discovers a kingdom that is desperately in need of a voice. Aurelia struggles with the horrors she encounters but her one true test is whether she'll continue to deny her love for Robert. Will she finally admit to herself what's been right in front of her eyes the whole time?

Last Thoughts:

You must read this, I promise you, you will not be disappointed. This is a book you don't want to put down, a book that will distract you from even the most important of tasks. So beware, it's a book that will pull you by the hand and drag you under!! A story that must be heard. Osterlund is a fantastic writer and I'll always be on a look out for more of her books! Great book!

Action Packed and very Creepy at the end...

First thoughts:

I was at first afraid to read this book at night after reading the summary and having just read a couple weeks ago "Ashes" but once I started it, turned out I was worrying over nothing, though when it near the end there were some parts that really creeped me out, it gave me that kind of vibe that makes you shiver...some of those last images I don't know if I'll ever totally forget...but I really liked it and I'm guessing there's going to be a sequel(?)

Summary:

Caleb has everything he ever wanted, he's popular in school, he graduated top class, has the hottest girlfriend, a best friend named Beans who has his back and he's going to Africa to help with the people there and perhaps write an article that could get posted in the newspaper but everything changes when he gets a letter in the mail from his childhood best friend Cristine...the friend that he had sent her twin sister to dissapearance...and to make matters worse the letter from her is crying for his help so he drops his trip to Africa and convinces his best friend Beans to go with him, enticing him with good food and beach time...but when they get there and Caleb goes to his fathers house he's gone and from there everything goes from bad to worse.

Caleb and Beans embark themselves on a journey that will tear their lives apart and send them into oblivion. Once they start there's no going back no matter how hard they try. Caleb learns his fathers old secrets and the horrors that come with it, there will be no harder test for Caleb than the one he's about to face.

Last Thoughts:

I enjoyed the read, not suited for a young audience, there are parts that are little confusing but where it lacks there it makes up in action. I would recommend this to those who enjoy pure action, a little understanding and whole bunch of kick butt!! I really do think there will be a second book and I will definately want to read it. I give this book 3 and half stars for its action packed theme and interesting characters.

Warning: Cliffhanger up Ahead!!

Warning: Severe cliffhanger up ahead, turn back now or continue forth with utter bravery.

First thoughts:

I really enjoyed this book, reading Limerick was like a shot of adrenaline, it really kept me chipper in my stressful times with school and life. Reading this book took me to another world where I was able to put reality aside and emerse myself in a magical world in iteself. It was action packed, emotional and fun, what more can you ask for?! I loved that we were able to see Jensen change, seeing her become more of a stronger character. We learn more about her and what she never knew about herself. The only thing I was sad about was the end, this book went by way too quickly, I loved being emersed in this world and being sucked back out was a bit unbalanced. But It definately is a book I would recommend to anyone, there is nothing to prevent a younger reader from reading this book.

Summary:

Jensen is thrust once more back into this new world. The more she learns the more she has reason to run away from everything but she doesn't. She stands up for herself and is determined to discover the truth. She learns about who she is but isn't fully aware of the strong powers that reside in herself.

Soon she finds herself being stalked and is in danger of being killed by the dragons and she doesn't know why. She demands for the truth and gets herself caught up in heart break, turmoil and pain, she doesn't see what way is up and what way is down. but she soon discovers a secret her friends Zoe has been hiding from her and the two of them along with Liam and the siren march into the dragon's den, demanding for this all to end and Zoe's sister.

Last Thoughts:

I would recommend this to any teenager, it's a very enjoyable read. I simply cannot wait till the next book because the cliff hanger it left you was one I simply can't wait to find the end. Spencer is an imaginative writer and I cannot wait to read what else she has to offer. The only thing I wish is that they were to be longer but then again they wouldn't be considered a novella huh?! I give this book 4 and half stars for her creativity and her ability to write such a compelling story

Do-Over!

First Thoughts:

I loved the original story of Tristan and Isodle and was excited to see a more modern version of it. It was a interesting story in itself, so much happened and the characters in themselves were interesting in themself but I thought this story was too rushed, so much happened so quickly that I really didn't get to let one thing sink in before another thing happened. But other than that it was a fun and fast read.

Summary:

Izzy has the perfect teenager life, she has the perfect boyfriend, she's pretty and she has a best friend that is with her all the time. But soon Tristan shows up and changes everything. When Izzy tries to give a love potion to Tristan and her best friend things go badly, she ends up getting Tristan to fall in love with her. So now she is strung between the two boys and on top of everything her heritage comes to haunt her and Izzy discovers there's more to herself than she ever new, she has elemental powers and her dead fathers enemy is after her. Soon she is in a battle to save her lives and the lives of the people around her. And the most challenging thing yet, untangle the mess of her love life and sort out her feelings...

Last thoughts:

It was a good book overall, I loved the ideas and characters in this book but like I said earlier it was a little too rushed to me and too convient I think if it would have been drawn out a little more I could better believe the events that took place and enjoy the story more. But I still think you should read it and judge it yourself. I would give this book 3.5 stars, for it's character buildment and storyline.

Highly Addictive!!

Warning!! Highly addictive, it has been known to keep it's reader up late into the night and cause a melting of heart, where all the reader can do is stare googly eyes at the book...Be warned, once started, there's no going back.

First thoughts:

I was curious about this book, I love Angels, have a soft spot for them and so I went into this book thrilled and I wasn't disappointed. Right from the beginning it is packed with action and raw emotions, there are so many deep scenes where you're able to get to know the characters. The plot is exciting, well paced and characters are very likable, none of those annoying characters who you secretly wish dead...come on you know that's thoughts crossed your mind one time or another.

Brief Summary:

Ginger lost her parents when she was only a baby and was raised by a demon named Devin, and unlike most of society Ginger believes and loves Archangles, she would risk her lives for them as is customary for the Demon Guardians. Soon Ginger saves the life of Wren, a half archangel and half human. The two head go to sanctuary, where the guardians live and protect Archangles, or at least the few left. And there is where Ginger learns of Wren's past and how if he loved another woman his one true enemy would kill her in a more painful way than his mother. But even that can't stop the two from drawing to each other. And its a fight for the finish to see what is left after everything is said and done.

Last Thoughts:

Very well written, intriguing and never disappointed me. It has all types of emotions mixed within giving a balance feel. Good for young adults her can appreciate love and all it's costs and gifts. I simply cannot wait till the second book comes out, one thing is for sure, it will be on the top of my to-read list!! Thank you Sarah for creating such a special and amazing book, all of that hard work definately paid off.
